CIMAM
The CIMAM Travel Grant Program supports the professional development and international visibility of directors, curators, and museum professionals residing in countries with emerging and developing economies (Groups C, D, and E as per ICOM classification). The 2026 conference theme is 'Museums Beyond Limits: Imagining Repair Across Cultures, Ecologies and Knowledges'. Grants cover conference registration, travel, and accommodation.
Conference registration fees, travel expenses (train, bus, or economy flight), four-night accommodation, and CIMAM membership for 2026–2028.
Applicants must be modern and contemporary art museum directors, curators, or researchers residing in countries with emerging or developing economies (Groups C, D, and E). They must not be involved in commercial/for-profit activities in the visual arts. Priority is given to junior directors and curators with less than 10 years of experience.
Applications must be submitted in English through the online application platform at https://cimam.vform.io/. Requirements include a short bio/résumé, motivation statement, list of exhibitions/publications from the last 5 years, and two letters of recommendation (or contact details of two referees for current CIMAM members).
