La Bande Vidéo
La Bande Vidéo is a support center for creation and dissemination in media arts located in the Méduse cooperative. The center supports animation and video art in all forms, from analog technologies and pin screen animation (using the 'Alpine' system) to modern video installations. The call includes categories for exhibitions (approx. 4 weeks), production residencies (2-4 weeks), member residencies, and specialized pin screen animation residencies (up to 12 weeks). They provide technical expertise, equipment, and a gallery space dedicated to video installations.
Selected artists receive an exhibition fee (CARFAC standards) or a residency stipend, technical and artistic support, access to fully equipped studios, accommodation (if the artist lives >50km away), administrative assistance for international travel grants, and video documentation of their work.
The call is open to Canadian and international artists working in media arts, specifically video installation or animation. Requirements include a complete application dossier and functional video/web links for review.
Applicants must email a single PDF dossier to info@labandevideo.com with the subject 'Dossiers 2026-2027'. The PDF must include a biography (100-150 words), artist statement, CV, project summary (100-150 words), detailed project description, and technical rider. High-resolution images (JPEG) or video links (Vimeo/YouTube) of the project and 10-15 images of previous works should also be included.
