Annual ArtTreasury – Call for Artists! – Accepting Bookings

About the Open Call

ArtTreasury is an annual time capsule of global creativity, a treasure box of artwork by diverse artists. It provides a special feature on each artist, complete with their art, artist statement and contact information. This opportunity offers a two-page spread (or more) featuring your work and artist statement, publishing of your direct contact information for collectors, editing by a professional editor, and a free digital copy of the publication. Published artists will be announced in the ArtAscent newsletter, published in the ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual, showcased for at least two years on the ArtAscent website online exhibition, listed by name online for at least two years on the ArtAscent website artist listing directory, and promoted on ArtAscent's social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram). Eligibility includes visual art such as paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, digital, printmaking, installations, ceramics, fabric, jewelry, sculpture, and other 2- and 3-dimensional media. All artists 18 years and older can apply. Submissions must be original creations and may be previously published by others (but not by ArtTreasury itself). Video or sound art is not supported, but good photography documenting interactive or performance art may be submitted. Applicants agree that ArtAscent may feature their submitted entry for display, marketing, promotions, and exhibition archives worldwide and for all time. The submission process includes a booking fee, booking form, submission review, profile editing, and publication in ArtTreasury magazine and on ArtAscent's website and social media. It is the organization's intent to publish all submissions meeting requirements.

What is Offered

A two-page spread (or more) featuring your work and your artist statement. Publishing of your direct contact information allowing collectors to purchase artwork straight from the pages of the publication. Editing by our professional editor. A free digital copy of the publication. Announced as one of the selected artists/writers in the ArtAscent newsletter. Published in ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual—a beautiful collectable keepsake publication that is available in digital and print long after the release date. Your showcase includes your artist profile and contact information including your website link and at least one of your submitted pieces. Showcased for at least two years on the ArtAscent website online exhibition, including your artist website link. Listed by name online for at least two years on the ArtAscent website artist listing directory. Promoted on the ArtAscent Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram sites (unless you opt out in the application form).

Requirements

Submitted work can include visual art – paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, digital, printmaking, installations, ceramics, fabric, jewelry, sculpture, and other 2- and 3-dimensional media. All artists 18 years and older can apply. Your submission must be your original creation. Your submission may be previously published by others, but not by ArtAscent in ArtTreasury (ArtAscent is OK). Our calls for artists do not support video or sound, however, good photography that documents interactive or performance art may be submitted. All application images and stories submitted to ArtAscent remain the property of the artist and the artist retains the copyright. Applicants agree that ArtAscent may feature their submitted entry for display, marketing, promotions, and exhibition archives worldwide and for all time. Submitted images must be JPG format, at least 1500 pixels on at least one side, with a total file upload size not exceeding 60MB.

How to Apply

The submission process includes completing an online booking form and paying a booking fee. Applicants should upload up to 6 high-quality JPG images of their artwork, named in the style: ArtTreasury_Lastname_Firstname_ImageTitle.jpg. Total file upload cannot exceed 60MB. Detailed artist information, including an artist statement (220 words or less), desired public contact information (website, social sites, email, phone, address), and artwork titles, materials, dimensions (in centimeters), and prices (in Canadian dollars) must be provided in the application form.
