About the Open Call

ArtAscent's Annual ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual is an open call for visual artists to book space in a yearly publication that serves as a time capsule of global creativity. It aims to showcase exciting emerging and indie artists from around the world. Selected artists receive a dedicated feature in the ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual, which is available in both digital and print formats. This opportunity provides artists with direct exposure to collectors, professional editing of their profile, and a free digital copy of the publication. Additionally, published artists are announced in the ArtAscent newsletter, showcased for at least two years on the ArtAscent website's online exhibition and artist listing directory, and promoted across ArtAscent's social media channels.

What is Offered

A two-page (or more) spread featuring work and artist statement, publishing of direct contact information for collectors, professional editing, a free digital copy of the publication, announcement in ArtAscent newsletter, publication in ArtTreasury Collector’s Annual (digital and print), showcase for at least two years on ArtAscent website online exhibition, listing in ArtAscent website artist listing directory, and promotion on ArtAscent's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram).

Requirements

Submitted work can include visual art such as paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, digital art, printmaking, installations, ceramics, fabric art, jewelry, sculpture, and other 2- and 3-dimensional media. Submissions must be original creations and may have been previously published by others (but not by ArtTreasury itself). All artists must be 18 years or older. Video and sound art are not supported; however, good photography documenting interactive or performance art may be submitted. Artists retain copyright of their submitted work, but agree that ArtAscent may feature their entries for display, marketing, promotions, and exhibition archives worldwide and for all time, with proper credit.

How to Apply

The submission process involves paying a booking fee, completing an online booking form, and submitting artwork images and an artist statement. The booking fee secures your profile space in the publication. After submission, there is a review process and profile editing. Artists are encouraged to upload high-quality, large images (at least 1500 pixels on one side, up to 60MB total upload, JPG file type) and name them in the specified format (ArtTreasury_Lastname_Firstname_ImageTitle.jpg). If technical issues arise with the online form or file upload, applicants may submit the form without files and then email the files separately, or email the entire application if necessary.
