About the Open Call

Established in 1960, the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair is the original of the three concurrent fairs that annually transform central Ann Arbor. It is regularly ranked among the nation’s top art fairs and is committed to showcasing only original, one-of-a-kind artwork. The fair includes 15 media categories and strictly prohibits AI-generated work, mass-produced items, and commercial reproductions. Artists must be present for the entire three-day event and provide an artist statement at their booth.

What is Offered

12 Excellence Awards of $1,000 each; $5,000 to $10,000 in annual purchase awards; booth amenities including electricity, security, hospitality tent, and artist reception.

Requirements

All work must be original and handcrafted by the artist; no AI-generated work; no commercial products or reproductions allowed; artist must be present with photo ID; specific booth display standards must be met.

How to Apply

Artists must apply through ZAPPlication.org by submitting four images of their artwork and one booth image. The booth image must show the full display without identifying information (logos, names, etc.).
