Angel Archives
Angel Archives presents an open call for their upcoming show: Angels. They invite artists exploring the space between the seen and unseen to submit work for this project. The group exhibition investigates the concept of the angel: celestial intermediaries, protectors and guides, and the enduring presence of the spirit after death. From mythic dreams to silhouettes of the ordinary, this show asks: How do we experience a connection to those we have lost—through memory, dreams, grief, or guides? Artists are encouraged to engage with themes of ethereal presence, subconscious landscapes, the transcendent, and the profane. This project seeks to create a shared archive. They welcome a range of mediums, from painting and sculpture to photography, video, sound, and written word. Experimental and conceptual work is highly encouraged. Artists may submit existing works or proposals/treatments for new pieces.
All selected artists will be featured in the Angel Archives exhibition at Studio 45 this upcoming July, and will be promoted across their channels.
Artists may submit existing works or proposals/treatments for new pieces. Required submission items include documentation of art, title/medium/dimensions for each piece, a brief artist statement (max 200 words), and a website or portfolio.
To apply, please submit the following: Documentation of your art (or a proposal/treatment for a new piece); Title, medium, and dimensions for each piece; A brief artist statement (max 200 words); Website or portfolio. Provide a link to view pieces or email files to angelarchives1111@gmail.com.
