About the Open Call

The Artists and Education grant subsidizes fees for professional Alberta artists to deliver interactive arts residency projects in schools. Projects must be between five hours and thirty days in duration, involve students in the creative process, and take place on school property during school hours. Maximum grant amount is $15,000, covering either 50% or 75% of artist fees depending on the school's location jurisdiction.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through the Grant Administration Tracking and Evaluation (GATE) Front Office online system. First-time applicants must request a username and password at least five business days before the deadline by completing a registration form and emailing it to registrationAFA@gov.ab.ca.
