Alberta Foundation for the Arts
The Artists and Education grant subsidizes fees for professional Alberta artists to deliver interactive arts residency projects in schools. Projects must be between five hours and thirty days in duration, involve students in the creative process, and take place on school property during school hours. Maximum grant amount is $15,000, covering either 50% or 75% of artist fees depending on the school's location jurisdiction.

To be eligible, applicants must be an Alberta school or school jurisdiction recognized by Alberta Education. Eligible projects must engage an Alberta-based artist or group with school residency experience, take place on school property during school hours, and last between five hours and thirty days.
Applications must be submitted through the Grant Administration Tracking and Evaluation (GATE) Front Office online system. First-time applicants must request a username and password at least five business days before the deadline by completing a registration form and emailing it to registrationAFA@gov.ab.ca.
