About the Open Call

Aerowaves is a network for short dance works produced in geographical Europe. Selected artists (Aerowaves Twenty) receive promotion via the Aerowaves website, performance opportunities across a network of partners, and potential selection to perform at the Spring Forward Festival. The selection process prioritizes originality, clear structure, and works that can be presented under limited technical conditions.

What is Offered

Selected artists receive promotion through an artist profile, coverage in the Aerowaves calendar, and social media promotion. For performances at Spring Forward, a fee is paid along with travel, hotel, and per diem expenses.

Requirements

Artists must be resident in geographical Europe and the work must have been produced in geographical Europe. Works must be 15-40 minutes in length, finished, and presented to the public. Applicants may not be currently completing professional dance training. Works must have simple technical requirements.

How to Apply

Applicants must fill in the online application form between May and July 2026. Requirements include uploading a high-quality video of the work to Vimeo or YouTube (with download enabled or a file sent to info@aerowaves.org), along with a 100-word biography and a 100-word description of the work in English.
