A Show of Heads

About the Open Call

The exhibition, A Show of Heads, will be held at the Limner Gallery from October 9 - November 1, 2025, and displayed on the gallery web site and social media pages. Open to all national and international artists aged 18 or older, working in any media including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, and video. The theme is the Human Head, encompassing all interpretations from traditional to abstract, including partial and multiple heads. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72" no wider than 120". Sculptural work must fit through a 36" wide entry door. Works may be exhibited for sale, with the gallery taking a 35 percent commission on all sales. Artists retain all copyrights to submitted images and artwork; selected images may be used for promotional purposes. Notification of acceptance will be made via email and posted on the results page by August 31, 2025.

What is Offered

Selected artists will be featured in a group exhibition at the Limner Gallery, October 9 - November 1, 2025. Works in the show may be exhibited for sale, with the gallery taking a 35 percent commission on all sales.

Requirements

Open to all artists, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art, video, etc. are eligible. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Wall mounted works must not be taller than 72" no wider than 120". Sculptural work must fit through a 36" wide entry door.

How to Apply

All entries are via email with JPG image attachments or images posted to a single web page with a direct html link. Email files must be in JPG format, maximum size approx. 2000 pixels on largest side. Video artists may apply by providing a link to the video posted on Vimeo, YouTube or any online video viewing platform; selected artists must supply display equipment.
