Amos Eno Gallery
Curated by Aaron Wilder, 'A Long Train: 250 Years of Hypocrisy' is an online-only exhibition hosted by Amos Eno Gallery on Artsy.net. The exhibition interrogates the Declaration of Independence as a historical document of selective freedom that promised liberty while authorizing dispossession, slavery, and exclusion. It asks who was included, who was erased, and what freedoms remain incomplete, exploring how colonial language, property, and sovereignty shape systems of value and authority. The exhibition approaches the Declaration as an ongoing structure enabling colonial expansion and racialized violence. Artists are encouraged to submit works that address refusal, continuity, memory, or counter-narratives, complicating or expanding the exhibition's premises. The exhibition foregrounds the market as part of historical systems, requiring works to be listed for sale on Artsy.
Inclusion in a curated online exhibition on Artsy.net, artworks listed for sale on a global platform, and artist receives 61% of sales proceeds.
Only artists based in the US are eligible. All forms of media are considered provided they have a material form (purely digital media with no physical form is ineligible). Artworks must be for sale. Accepted artists must agree to commission terms: 19% to Artsy, 20% to Amos Eno Gallery, and 61% to the artist. In the event of a sale, artists are responsible for shipping the work using a prepaid label provided by the gallery.
Complete the online Jotform application.
