About the Open Call

The 9th ARTSinTANK Dance Festival in Korea (ADFK) invites local and international artists to participate in various opportunities, including Live Stage Relay Performances, Dance Film submissions, and Dance & Music & Digital (MDD) International Collaborations. The festival also offers a Festival Pass with scholarship opportunities. ADFK is an international dance festival recognized by the Arts Council Korea as a flagship ARKO SUM Festival, offering a platform for artistic innovation, global networking, and cultural exchange. It provides performance opportunities on a global stage, international dance workshops, cultural exchange programs like 'Suwollae', and festival-wide events. Dance films will be screened both on-site and online. The MDD collaboration program fosters creative global works among multinational, multi-disciplinary artists, with outstanding works potentially receiving an official invitation with accommodation and a performance fee for the next ADFK. Application requirements include providing a complete video of the proposed work and submitting all applications in English. Specific deadlines apply for each category.

What is Offered

Requirements

Live Stage: Proposed works approximately 15 minutes; Must attend festival in-person (South Korea); Eligibility: Debut (0-3 years), Emerging (3-7 years), Experienced (more than 7 years). Dance Film: Eligibility: Student/Professional; Categories: Short (under 5min), Feature, Documentary; Works must be original, submitter owns rights/permission for all material. MDD: Mid-career dance/music/digital art/ professional, eager to collaborate. Festival Pass Scholarship: Personal Statement (1 page) explaining qualifications and needs. General: Provide a complete video of proposed work; all applications must be in English; only complete applications considered; no applications accepted after deadline.

How to Apply

Applicants can apply for various opportunities (Relay Performance, Dance Film, MDD International Collaboration, Festival Pass Scholarship) by clicking on the respective links provided in the open call. Applications for Relay Performance, MDD, and Festival Pass Scholarship are submitted via Google Forms. Dance Film applications are submitted via FilmFreeway. All applications must be complete and submitted in English before the deadline of 2026.02.28 (except for Dance Film, which requires checking FilmFreeway for its deadline, though a deadline of 2026.02.28 is also stated for Dance Film later in the document).
