Watercolor Art Society - Houston
The Watercolor Art Society - Houston (WAS-H) presents its 49th International Watermedia Exhibition (IWE). This juried exhibition is open to artists worldwide working in at least 80% aqueous media. The exhibition will be juried and judged by Don Andrews, featuring $10,000 in cash awards. Selected works will be displayed at the WAS-H gallery and in a year-long online exhibition.
$10,000 in total cash awards, including a $2,500 first prize. Participation in a gallery and online exhibition, and eligibility for WAS-H Signature or Elite Signature status.
Artists must be 18 years or older. Artworks must be at least 80% watermedia (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, egg tempera, casein, ink) and created on or after January 1, 2024. Pieces must be original, created without instruction, and not previously shown in WAS-H AME or IWE. Size must be between 9 and 44 inches on any side. Specific framing and shipping requirements apply, including a 'no glass' policy.
Artists must submit their entries digitally through the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) website. A profile must be created, and up to three artworks can be uploaded. Entry fees are paid through the CaFÉ platform.
