City of Lakeland, Florida
The City of Lakeland, in cooperation with the Polk Museum of Art, invites sculptors to submit work for the 26th Annual Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Selected works will be on loan for a one-year exhibition in downtown Lakeland. Works must be durable for outdoor conditions, maintenance-free, and suitable for surface mounting on concrete pads. The city provides insurance and installation assistance via crane.
$1,700 honorarium for transportation and installation expenses; a potential $1,700 People’s Choice Award; and insurance coverage during the exhibition period.
Open to sculptors in North America. Works must be suitable for outdoor public installation, withstand adverse weather, and be maintenance-free. Installation must be completed by March 1, 2026.
Applications must be submitted online through the CaFÉ website at Lakelandgov.net/FLOSC. Artists must provide images of up to three works, a professional resume, and an artist statement.
