Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington
The 2028 McKinney International Art and Design Residency is open to established artists and designers residing outside the United States. Residents will spend four to six weeks at Indiana University Bloomington, engaging with faculty and students, providing studio visits and workshops, and presenting as part of the McKinney Visiting Artist Lecture Series. The residency provides access to extensive university facilities including museums, archives, and research centers.
A fellowship of $8,000 USD, studio space, lodging, health insurance for the length of the appointment, and up to $500 for supply costs.
Applicant must be an established artist or designer whose primary country of residence is outside the United States; must have a national and international exhibition record; must stay for the full residency period; and must be actively engaged in contemporary practice.
Applicants must submit a cover letter, current CV, 500-word proposal, and ten images of recent work (or two writing samples if applicable) via SlideRoom. Proposals should specify preferred dates and interest in specific studio or research facilities.
