2027 Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals

About the Open Call

The Rehoboth Art League (RAL), founded in 1938, presents a year-round exhibitions programme across its Corkran, Tubbs, Ventures, and Homestead galleries. Located in a highly visited coastal arts destination, the organisation attracts over 30,000 visitors annually, including audiences from Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York. Artists selected for the 2027 exhibitions programme will present bodies of work that demonstrate strong artistic quality, consistency, and curatorial vision. Both solo and group proposals are accepted, and artworks in any medium are eligible for review. The programme is highly competitive due to the limited number of available exhibition slots. Artists whose solo or group exhibitions were shown at RAL in 2024, 2025, or are scheduled for 2026 are not eligible to apply. All selected works must remain on display for the full duration of the exhibition and must be available for sale unless otherwise approved by the Exhibitions Director.

What is Offered

Selected artists will have their work featured in solo or group exhibitions at the Rehoboth Art League during 2027.

Requirements

Applications are open to both members and non-members of the Rehoboth Art League. Solo exhibition applicants must submit five artworks for review, while group exhibition applicants must submit ten works representative of the proposed exhibition. Required materials include an artist statement related to the exhibition proposal, a short CV or bio, and high-quality digital images following the specified upload requirements. Non-photographic works must have been created no earlier than 2024, and photographic works must have been originally shot no earlier than 2024. Submitted artworks must not have been previously exhibited at the Rehoboth Art League. Artists are responsible for shipping, delivery, and collection of artworks, though housing may sometimes be provided during exhibition openings. Selected artists are expected to attend their exhibition opening if possible. Artists retain copyright of their images while granting the Rehoboth Art League permission to use submitted materials for promotional purposes. Accepted artists receive 65% commission on sales, while the organisation retains 35%.
