PLAYA Summer Lake
The 2027 Art/Sci Awarded Residency supports artists, scientists, and interdisciplinary practitioners whose work engages with environmental themes and promotes dialogue around ecological and societal change. The program emphasizes cross-disciplinary exchange, encouraging participants to explore new ways of thinking through collaboration, research, and creative practice. Residents are immersed in a remote natural setting that serves as both studio and subject. Selected participants join a cohort of 6–10 residents and are given time and space to focus on self-directed projects that connect art, science, and the environment.
