About the Open Call
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival, in collaboration with Nevada County Arts Council, invites artists to submit work in 2-Dimensional, 3-Dimensional, and Photography categories. The 2026 theme, Mobilize, honors the energy of collective action and movements that shape a better world. Selected artists will exhibit their work in person at venues in Grass Valley and Nevada City, with artworks eligible for several awards.
What is Offered
Selected artists will exhibit their work at the Granucci Gallery or Rood Center. Awards include Top submission in each category, Best of Theme: Mobilize, Emerging Artist, and Judges' Awards.
Requirements
All artwork must be original, ready for display (framed/matted with proper hardware), and must be for sale. Artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up. Sales commissions apply (60/20/20 split at Granucci Gallery; 80/20 suggested at Rood Center).
How to Apply
