SET Space
SET Film Festival is an artist-led platform dedicated to experimental cinema, emerging voices, and interdisciplinary moving-image practices outside conventional exhibition and distribution systems. The programme includes themed short film screenings, feature presentations, archival film events, and live performance elements. The 2026 edition aims to expand beyond Peckham through collaborations and screenings across London and potentially other locations. The festival welcomes submissions across genres including animation, documentary, drama, essay film, experimental cinema, and artists’ moving image. Rather than operating around a fixed curatorial theme, the programme is shaped through dialogue between selected works, encouraging diverse artistic approaches and critical perspectives. Accessibility and inclusivity are central to the festival’s ethos, with organisers encouraging submissions from emerging and underrepresented filmmakers working across varied geographic and cultural contexts.
Submissions are free and open internationally. Eligible films must be under 30 minutes in length and completed after 1 January 2023. Only one submission per artist is permitted. Applicants must submit their work through the online submission form and provide a secure viewing link, film stills, clips, production information, accessibility details, and any relevant subtitle or caption files. Filmmakers are also asked to include information regarding sensory considerations, subtitles, and accessibility options to support inclusive screenings. Selected filmmakers grant the festival permission to use submitted stills, trailers, and excerpts for promotional purposes.
