The MACRO Project
The MACRO Project is a collaborative initiative dedicated to transforming public spaces and urban infrastructure through art installations. By repurposing billboards into dynamic art spaces, the project challenges traditional perceptions and embeds art within the urban fabric. Four to six artists will be selected to have their work printed on 22'x10' billboards on well-trafficked roads. The project focuses on visual impact for viewers traveling at high speeds and seeks to spark conversations about art, society, and the environment.
Selected artists receive a dedicated billboard for four consecutive weeks. The MACRO Project covers all expenses for production, mounting, and leasing of the billboard.
Artists must live and work in New York State by the time of the exhibition. Submissions must be original work independently created by the artist. Work must be compatible with a 22'x10' billboard format; no moving images or sound-based works are accepted.
Submit up to three original artworks via the Google Form link (https://forms.gle/GYYv35LFzZ73XYPe8). Include title, media, size, date, town of residence, and a short artist statement/bio under 500 words. Files must be .jpg at 300 dpi.
