Cornish College of the Arts
The Neddy Artist Award provides two grand prizes of $30,000 and six finalist awards of $3,000 to visual artists living and working in the Puget Sound region. Stewardship of the award is held by Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle University. The awards recognize artistic excellence in two categories: Painting and Open Medium.
Two $30,000 grand prizes, six $3,000 finalist awards, a studio visit with a national juror, inclusion in an annual exhibition, promotional videos, and a printed exhibition catalog.
Applicants must be full-time residents of Washington State in the Puget Sound region (counties including Island, Jefferson, King, Kitsap, Mason, Pierce, Skagit, San Juan, Snohomish, Thurston, and Whatcom) and permanent residents of the US. Must be 18+ and a practicing artist. Previous grand-prize recipients, current students, and core faculty or trustees at Cornish or Seattle University are ineligible.
