2026 AWG Call for Youth Art: Caribou Connections

Yukon Arts Centre

-CA$1 Application Fee

About the Open Call

Inspired by The Caribou Project by Lianne Charlie and Nic Hyatt, this call invites youth to create two-dimensional artworks—including drawing, painting, collage, photography, or digital art—that celebrate or reflect on caribou and reindeer. These animals connect people across the North, and the artworks might explore movement, migration, community, or personal connections to the northern landscape. Selected works will be showcased in the ATCO Electric Yukon Youth Gallery.

What is Offered

Artworks will be displayed during March and April 2026 in the ATCO Electric Yukon Youth Gallery as part of a special youth art display.

Requirements

Artists must be youth ages 4–18. Artworks must be two-dimensional (drawing, painting, collage, photography, or digital art). Sculptures are explicitly not accepted.
