About the Open Call

Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure, and recognition to contemporary visual artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose. Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. In addition to financial support, Awardees participate in the Artadia Network for connections and resource sharing and receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry.

What is Offered

Unrestricted funds of $15,000 ($25,000 for the Marciano Artadia Award), participation in the Artadia Network, dedicated Artist Registry page, and honorariums for finalists.

Requirements

Applicants must be contemporary visual artists currently living and working in Los Angeles County for at least two consecutive years. Must not be currently enrolled in an art-related degree program. Previous awardees of $10,000 or more are ineligible.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted through Submittable. Applicants need to provide eight images or up to six minutes of video (for time-based media), a CV, and an artist statement of 200 words or less.
