Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods
Brushwood Center at Ryerson Woods is seeking artists and artisans for their 9th annual Nature-Inspired Holiday Market. The market features a hybrid format, starting with a 7-day online sale from Saturday, November 29th to Friday, December 5th, 2025, followed by a 2-day in-person sale at Brushwood Center on Saturday & Sunday, December 6-7, 2025. Artists are not required to be present for the in-person sale, as the center handles set-up and shipping. Accepted items include fine art prints, small original artwork, notecards, jewelry, accessories, personal care items, functional objects for the home or garden, decorative items, toys, artisanal food items, ornaments, and holiday-related decorations. A strong connection to nature or the environment (subject matter, materials, or function) is required for the majority of the work. All items must be handmade by the artist or reproductions thereof. This is a curated show, with selections based on quality, thematic relevance, and how items complement the overall market.
Opportunity to sell artwork at a curated, hybrid holiday market (online and in-person). Brushwood Center manages the set-up and shipping for the in-person sale. A 25% commission will be retained by Brushwood Center on all sales.
The majority of submitted work must be related to nature and/or the environment (via subject matter, materials used, or function). All items must be handmade by the artist or reproductions of items handmade by the artist. This is a curated show, and artists will be selected based on work quality, relationship to the theme, and how their items fit with others in the show. If accepted, artists must submit at least one high-quality photo, measurements, a title/description, price, and fulfillment options for each online pre-sale item by November 16, 2025.
Applicants must complete the provided online application form. This includes submitting personal and shop details (name, email, online portfolio link), specifying the type of art/craft, price range, and number of items intended for sale. A non-refundable application fee of $30 is required, or applicants may opt to volunteer for 4 hours instead.
