About the Open Call

The PleinAir Salon is an online art competition organized by PleinAir Magazine and Streamline Publishing, Inc. The competition awards $50,000 in total cash prizes annually, with monthly cycles leading up to a grand prize of $15,000 and the cover of PleinAir Magazine. While named for plein air painting, it is open to all artists and various categories including landscapes, still life, and portraiture.

Open to all artists; entries are submitted digitally for the online competition.

How to Apply

Artists can enter the competition online through the ShowSubmit platform via the PleinAir Salon website. An early bird incentive of 25% off is available for entries submitted by January 15th.
