15th Annual PleinAir Salon $50,000 Art Competition!

About the Open Call

The 15th Annual PleinAir Salon Art Competition offers a total of $50,000 in cash prizes, with a grand prize of $15,000 and the opportunity to be featured on the cover of PleinAir® Magazine. There are both monthly and annual awards. Monthly awards include $600 for First Place Overall, $400 for Second Place Overall, $300 for Third Place Overall, and $50 for each category. Annual awards include $15,000 for First Place Overall, $3,000 for Second, $2,000 for Third, $750 for Honorable Mentions (3), $450 for Best Medium (6), and $300 for the Artist's Choice Award. The competition is open to all artists, not exclusively plein air painters. Thomas W. Schaller is the July PleinAir Salon Judge.

What is Offered

Requirements

The competition is open to all artists. While associated with 'plein air' painting, it is not limited to this style or specific plein air painters. Applicants should refer to the competition rules for detailed submission requirements.
