About the Open Call

The PleinAir Salon hosts its 15th Annual Art Competition, inviting artists of all styles, including those beyond plein air, to submit their work. The competition features both monthly and annual awards, with a total of $50,000 in cash prizes. Monthly awards include $600 for First Place Overall. The prestigious Annual Grand Prize offers $15,000 and the winning artwork featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, along with other awards for Second, Third Place, Honorable Mentions, Best Medium, and Artist's Choice. Entries are judged by master artists, with Natasha Isenhour judging the August PleinAir Salon. The competition aims to showcase exceptional art and provide significant recognition and monetary rewards to talented artists.
