About the Open Call

The Allegany Arts Council hosts its 12th annual national photography competition, featuring cash prizes totaling $6,500. The exhibition includes three categories: Color, Monochrome/Black and White, and Photography as a 3-D Art Form. Juried by Michael O. Snyder, a Pulitzer Grantee and photographer, the show highlights photographic excellence across the United States and is hosted at the Allegany Museum in Maryland.

Requirements

Images must be lens-based photographs created solely by the entrant. No AI-generated images or stock photos are allowed. All entries must be for sale. 2D works (including frame) cannot exceed 36" width and 40" height. 3D works cannot exceed 72"x36"x36" and 40 lbs.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online via the CaFÉ platform. Applicants can submit up to six works, with a base fee of $30 for the first two works and $15 for each additional entry.
